Welcome to Michigan Qualified Health Plan Coverage Map
Welcome to Michigan Hospital Coverage Maps
This web application displays coverage areas of licensed acute care and critical
access hospitals within the state of Michigan. Most of the
displayed
coverage maps show areas located within various counties within the coverage area
of approximately 30-minute travel times surrounding the hospital to covered
counties,
townships, and cities. The 30-minute travel time is a guideline DIFS uses for
reasonable
patient access to health care services. There are counties within the state without
hospitals, resulting in rural areas with hospital coverage with travel times beyond
30 minutes. The coverage maps also show travel times to the nearest hospital for
townships, and cities beyond the DIFS travel time guideline. This map may be used
to determine adequate hospital coverage within each of the state’s counties.
