| Narrative Description |
The Buck Farm Residence is a frame residence of vernacular design. It exhibits a T-shaped plan, both portions of which are two stories in height. Detailing suggests a Gothic Revival influence exemplified by the open front porch across the ell portion of the structure with turned columns and elaborate bargeboards. The front gable portion exhibits a similarly decorative bargeboard, as does the center gable on the ell portion of the building. Both gables feature vertical siding in contrast to the horizontal clapboard which covers remaining wall surfaces. A corner stone in the residence bears the inscription, "J. S. Buck 1888," clearly indicating the structure's date of construction.

| Statement of Significance |
Jesse H. Buck, a native of Michigan, relocated from Oakland County to Mundy Township in 1864 and became an influential local settler. He purchased eighty acres in this township located south of Flint. The property stood along Baldwin Road which originally was an Indian trail and later the first primary travel route through the township. Buck raised livestock and his property came to be called "The Corner Stock Farm." In addition to his farming activities, Buck took part in civic affairs by serving as Township Constable in 1865 and involving himself in other local politics. His former home is currently a private residence.
