| Narrative Description |
The two-and-one-half-story frame Frank D. Bloss and Sons Farm Residence is an excellent example of Queen Anne architecture executed with more sophistication than in most rural areas. The home is irregularly massed, is capped by a multiple gable roof with one gable dormer, and features a wide variety of windows including rounded arch and diamond shaped openings and sash exhibiting small, colored panes framing a larger pane. Except for an early wrap-around porch with fanciful turned balusters and bargeboards that was removed, the Bloss home remains virtually intact. The house currently exhibits an open, one bay entrance porch with turned balusters and bargeboards.

| Statement of Significance |
Frank D. Bloss married Eunice Storer in 1881 and the couple initially resided on the Storer Family farmstead in Flint Township. In 1883, Frank and Eunice purchased their own 40 acres along Reid Road in Gaines Township. After increasing their land holdings to 105 acres, the Bloss's constructed their elaborate Queen Anne home in 1893. The farm has remained in the Bloss Family and continues as a cattle and dairy operation.
