| Narrative Description |
The Hibbard Apartment Building is a rectangular, nine-story, forty-unit structure. Its facade, faced on the lowest two stories with limestone and with redbrick elsewhere, is decorated with Renaissance details such as balustrades, pediments, and quoins--all executed in limestone. Paired swags embellish the facade just below the cornice.

| Statement of Significance |
The Hibbard Apartments Building is a multi-unit, high-rise building, notable in its handsome design and for its association with architect Robert O. Derrick. The building was designed by Derrick in 1924, five years before his well known work on the Henry Ford Museum. The Renaissance Revival details of the Hibbard Apartments resemble Derrick's detailing on the facade of the Jennings Memorial Hospital.
